The Conference of Churches has a mission to "achieve social justice for all people through faith-based leadership, education, advocacy and partnerships. "Through the engagement of our volunteer network we help people of faith and goodwill, "be the change they wish to see in the world."
The Conference’s Health building programs include: The LivingWell Centre which provides health and wellness services; CityHarvest: Healthy Foods Healthy Lives which works to bring healthy foods into the city of Hartford and our Health Ministry Network. Our Wealth building programs include: YouthVentures our Young Entrepreneurs program to teach business skills and our "Wise" programs are under the umbrella FaithWorks: The Connecticut and Hartford Offices of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships which help faith and community based organizations increase thier capacity to aid in national economic recovery. |
