Anna M. Fulling Community Chaplaincy

Anna M. Fulling was a life-long parishioner at Asylum Hill Congregational Church and a housekeeper for the wealthy Fox Family.  Miss Fulling was cared for at home and in the hospital by The Reverend Bernard Drew, Senior Minister at Asylum Hill Church in Hartford.  Lewis Fox, for whom Anna Fulling was something of a surrogate mother figure was so impressed with the ministry of Reverend Dr. Drew to his beloved Anna, that he decided to establish a memorial in her memory.  This culminated in the establishment by Lewis Fox of the Anna M. Fulling Trust.  The income of the trust was to be provided to The Greater Hartford Council of Churches, which is now the Conference of Churches to establish a protestant chaplaincy at Hartford area hospitals.

Through the Anna Fulling Community Chaplaincy, spiritual support, outreach and education services are provided on behalf of individuals receiving cancer treatment at area hospitals and their faith leaders and family members.
