“Wise” Programs are The Conference’s strategic efforts to transfer information and skill to its faith-based partners around the state. The “wise” theme applies to all activities through Education-centered programs that will instill useful knowledge, skill-set, and program designs to help faith-based groups become more knowledgeable and effective. The Connecticut Office of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives (CTOFBCI)The Connecticut Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives: is the federally designated Office to support state-wide faith-based initiatives. The goal of this Office is to provide leadership and consultative services to develop faith-based initiatives throughout Connecticut. Activities include: The Faith-based Leadership Institute; Faith-based Summit; Quarterly roundtables; and Faithbased executive coaching.
The Hartford Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives: The City of Hartford has also asked The Conference to act as the Office of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives for Hartford. This Office will reflect the State’s Office in terms of functionality and approach. Specifically, at full capacity, the City of Hartford Office of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives will be able to serve Hartford through the following activities: survey and report on faith-based services in Hartford, run two faith-based summits on issues affecting Hartford, train Hartford leaders, and develop communications vehicle to faith-based communities.
