Individuals, both lay and clergy, in congregations across Connecticut who feel called to the urban ministry setting, are encouraged to apply to The Conference of Churches’ Urban Ministry Fellows program. Ministry fellows are individuals who are inspired by faith, with a passion to develop their skills and ministries outside the walls of the church as “transformational leaders with a passion to create a healthy and just community.”
TCC Urban Ministry Fellows receive 10 hours of classroom training and are commissioned to serve in the city of Hartford for a year or more. TCC Urban Ministry Fellows are expected to provide 12-20 service hours each month from September to June each year.
TCC Urban Ministry Fellows apply their unique skills and gifts to support efforts in cause communication; community collaboration and education initiatives that build connectivity amongst diverse faith communities and stakeholders in an effort to achieve a healthy and just community.
